Lions are social animals, living in groups of about six.
Eating Habits
Lions eat prey animals such as hyenas, livestock and deer.

Conservation Efforts
Attempts are being made to establish another separate population of Asiatic lions in India, and reintroduction plans sending captive-bred lions into the wild are being considered.

- Only the male lion has the impressive mane, but the female is the one who does all the hunting.
