King Cobra
Animal's Behavior
Can be aggressive and dangerous, but prefers to avoid confrontation. Potent venom.
Eating Habits
Diet is believed to consist mainly of other snakes. May sometimes eat birds and rodents.
Range
Dense forests across south Asia, southeast Asia and southern China.
Conservation Efforts
A number of groups are working to protect habitat and conserve dwindling cobra populations. This species is threatened by the destruction of forests and human encroachment.
