What a BOO-tiful night!
It’s dark outside and imagine that you are walking along a path and all of a sudden you hear lions, tigers and bears - OH MY! Then to your left there are miniature ghosts, goblins and a pumpkin head. Next a little ‘ole witch is asking if you want a trick or a treat. But beware this looks like a trick! To get away you escape inside a big house only to find that it’s haunted. As you move from room to room there’s a howl and hoot! Oh did something or someone brush past your arm? Yikes, out of the house you go and lucky for you a train just arrived. “All aboard!,” shouts the conductor. Now jump on as we ride to a safe destination. But on the ride something happens and we’re stuck! Hold tight, did you hear that? I think a creature is stirring. Look left, look right. Is it coming closer? The sounds are getting louder; let’s get this train moving! Yes, yippie we’re on the go and just in time - no goblins got us. We’re off the train at the next stop and what’s that? Is that music playing? We’re at a party and people are dancing. Is this some sort of spooky dream or a scary movie? No, you’re at Audubon Zoo for the annual Halloween event Boo at the Zoo! It’s bigger than ever this year with four haunting nights. Dress up your little bugaboos in their favorite Halloween costumes and enjoy safe family trick or treating in the Zoo. We’ll have a haunted house and trick or treat houses where kids can get sweet treats. You can also take a ride on the Mombassa Ghost Train, but I must warn you it may be a bit frightful for little tikes and toddlers. There are also games and activities for the kids to enjoy. It’s recommended that you purchase your tickets before the event because Boo at the Zoo is usually a sell-out event and you don’t want to miss out on joining the party. Come out and dress in your best Halloween costume. It’s going to be a BOOootiful night!
