A Ta-Do for Kids!
The best fundraising event made for kids is coming up this Friday! Do you know what I’m talking about? Of course you do! This Friday, April 29th is our annual event Zoo-To-Do for Kids presented by Humana. If you’ve been, then you know what I’m talking about and if you haven’t been I’m going to give you a little bit of inside information. The first thing you need to know is that tickets must, must, must be purchased in advance. Tickets are not available for purchase at the gate. The best way to buy is online! The event begins at six o’clock in the evening and ends at nine. This is a fun-filled event, so dress in spring casual attire as you may end up playing a game or two with the kids. Music groups will be entertaining guests all evening. We’ll have music by Grupo NOHA right at the front gate. As you enter the zoo Chris Trochez will be entertaining guest on Cooper Plaza. While you’re making your way around Cooper Plaza check out what Audubon Insectarium will have on display. We’ll also have great vendors right here and this is only the beginning! I’ll have to warn you, your kids are going to want to run and play and do everything in sight. They will be exhausted by the end of the night. As you nibble and munch along your walk in the zoo make sure you head over to the inflatables area and let them jump until they are dizzy with delight. Don’t make a fuss. Let them cut loose and enjoy the party, it’s for them! Little girls will absolutely love the Princess Play Land and the boys will dribble and bounce on the basketball court. If you’re looking for some friendly competition head over to the Spider-man obstacle course and throw a pass at the Saints Experience. Our main stage entertainment will be provided by Radio Disney and they will have you singing and dancing to your kids’ favorite songs. In the junior area your tweens and teens can pop a collar to the mixed music of DJ Darious and also play fun arcade games. Arts and crafts stations will be set up where kids can make all sorts of fun things. Our wonderful zoo staff will be on site with hand held animals and you will be able to get an up close look and some amazing animals. We even have some great activities for the little tikes in the toddler area. Check out the toddler arcade sports booth and Sesame Street table. Your tots can also get a pretty picture painted on their chubby little cheeks. While you’re engaging in all the activities make sure you enjoy all the great food we’ll have on site. Oh, where do I begin?! I’ll give you a just a little nibble of the food vendors. We’ll have all the best kid food. Raising Cane’s chicken fingers, Plum St. Sno-balls, VooDoo BBQ, Ice Cream, Slice pizzeria, Lucky dogs, and … Okay now I’m only giving you a sneak peak at what to expect, you will have to come join us at Zoo To Do for Kids to experience it all for yourself.
