We're Party Animals!
Sugar pie, honey bunch You know that I love you. I can't help myself. I love you and nobody else… duh, duh, dah, nah! AH got you singing already. You know it’s that time of year! We’re putting on our annual big, big, I’m talking huge fundraiser - the annual Whitney Zoo-To-Do! Um, yes. I’m yelling, but it’s only because I’m sooo excited. And you would be too if you knew what I knew. Alright you’re going to make me spill the beans, but I’ll only let you in on just some of the awesomeness that will be at this year’s Zoo-To-Do. The rest you’ll have to come to see for yourself. And boy oh boy there certainly is lots to see and do. First things first, do you have your ticket? If you haven’t gotten one yet you can still buy it online. You must purchase your ticket before the event. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s get into the good stuff. This is a party that excites all of your senses. To start out you must get a taste of some of the specialty drinks. As soon as you walk in you may want to get a sweet taste of chocolate vodka or mosey your way down the path and get a delicately sweet taste of Asti Moscato, my new favorite. Some of you with more mature palates might like the cordials or Old New Orleans Rum. All I can tell you is that there’s no losing either way. Oh the best is yet to come. The food, oh the food! Come hungry because you’ll want to sample every dish you see. Where else can you say that in one night you ate at Antoine’s, La Cote Brassiere, Brennan’s, Oceana, Crapes a la Cart, VooDoo BBQ, The Melting Pot, Cafe Reconcile and Shula’s! I’ll tell you - nowhere but at the Whitney Zoo-To-Do. Plus there are sooo many more restaurants that are dishing up some of the best foods your taste buds will have a party. Okay so, I’ve told you about some of the good food, and specialty drinks that will be on site, and now it’s all about the music of the night. Let me tell you the music doesn’t stop at this party. As soon as you come up to the front gate the Algiers Brass Band will get you on the good foot. You’re going to shimmy and shake your way into the party to a brass band beat. And right on Cooper Plaza where you’ll get to sample cocktails from Whiskey Blue you’ll also get to listen to the swinging jazz vocals of Banu Gibson. In the middle of all of this check out the Silent Auction, you can bid on exotic vacations, sports collectables, beautiful jewelry and so much more. You can also take a chance in the luxury car raffle., You may be the next winner of a 2011 Lexus ES350! After you have finished bidding next you’ll want to mosey your way over to the Capital One stage to mingle and hear one of the best party bands in the South, The Mixed Nuts. This group will kick this party into high gear with a mix of tunes ranging from rock, disco, R&B and country. This group of nuts will get you warmed up for the headline group of the night! Sing with me!
Oooh, (ain't no woman like the one I've got.) ---- Oh, no, they don't come better.
(To make her happy doesn't take a lot.) --- She don't ask for things, no diamond rings.
(So together, like a hand in glove.) ---- Like pages in a letter.
(Ain't no woman like the one I love.)
