It's a Crawly Crawloween!

By: L'jeanne, Advertising Manager

Your kids are for sure excited about all the Halloween activities coming up like Boo at the Zoo this weekend and next and I’ve got another crawly critter Halloween event that they will certainly enjoy! Crawloween is happening at Audubon Insectarium on Saturday, October 29th and Sunday October 30th. Dress the kids up in their Halloween costumes and join us along with some six-legged friends. We’ll have trick-or-treating stations all around the Insectarium and we’ve dressed up the place in some fabulous Halloween decorations that are buggy. There will be naturalists on hand to explain and debunk myths about some of the most notorious tales about bugs. It’s quite possible that the story told by your ‘ole Ma Mae’ was just a story to scare you straight! If you want to know for sure, join us at Crawloween and ask all the questions you like. Our staff is eager to answer. We’ve also got a craft station where you can make your own bug themed crafts to take home. Make them look as sweet or scary as you like. I’m guessing your kids will want to make the creepiest crafts this Crawloween. Be sure to check out all the exhibits while you’re there, and make a bet with your little critter to eat a treat in Bug Appétit! Go into the theater to see the spine tickling awards show, but I must warn you… watch out for the stink bug! Also check out the awe of metamorphosis, you can see all the stages a butterfly goes through and how it emerges from its chrysalis.  Make this Halloween fun and filled with educational information for the kids at Crawloween at the Insectarium. They’ll be so entertained with it all you’ll have to make more than one visit!
