I am IMAX®, hear me ROAR! Watch snakes that slither and slide, oh my!
Life in the wild is captivating. To get a glimpse of how animals live in the wild requires specially trained individuals to capture it. Many of us would love to go out and see animals in their natural habitats but this certainly wouldn’t be the smartest thing to do – unless you’re on a guided safari. To satisfy your curiosity, I urge you to head over to Entergy IMAX® Theatre to experience “Lions 3D: Roar Of The Kalahari”. This film captures the true essence of lions in the wild and how they have to fight for their lives and protect their family. This movie is the true life version of the animated movie ‘Lion King’ and you will delight in the sounds and images of the animals featured in the film. It’s a great movie the whole family will enjoy. And remember to pick-up some sweet treats at concessions. Once you’re here, check out Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and head over to Audubon Insectarium for a full day of fun. Also happening this weekend is All Snakes Day at Audubon Zoo! Yes the day is here those slithering sliding snakes are going to be all over this Saturday and Sunday. Okay so I’m exaggerating! They won’t be all over the zoo. We’ll have a few snakes that our staff will be presenting so you can get up close to see how beautiful their bodies are. They aren’t slimy at all! They will also do snake weighing. You’ll be amazed at how much they weigh. And whatever concerns you had about snakes, just forget about ’em. Learn from our experts genuine information about their diet and life styles. Our zoo staff educators will be on hand all weekend to answer all and any questions you may have. They will also have cool snake bio-facts on hand and kids can make snake crafts. We’ve got a full weekend of interesting and educational events for your family to explore, so come out and see it all!
