The year is almost over! How did it fly by so fast!? Didn’t we just celebrate the Fourth Of July yesterday!? Cue music, let’s sing all together- Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should old acquaintance be forgot, and old lang syne – We’ll finish singing later. Now let’s focus on how we’re going to celebrate the year. I’m sure you’ve had some ups and downs this year but let’s send this year off with a great New Year’s Eve party. Here at Audubon Zoo we love having a party for the kids with a countdown to noon on Saturday, December 31st. Zoo Year’s Eve will be a fun party for the little tikes to enjoy during the day. There will be a pre-dance party beginning at 10:30 am with live entertainment. Everyone will gather in the big field by the Capitol One Stage to get ready for the countdown. Hugo the Hornet and his Honeybees will also be at the party to mingle and take pictures with guests. Right at high noon get ready to jump, sing and shout HAPPY NEW YEAR! You and your kids will love all the excitement and we’ll also have games and a dance party for all to enjoy. I can tell you from experience that your kids will have so much fun that they will wear themselves out. You may even get them to zonk out for a little nap so they won’t be cranky for the late night toast. *wink wink. All I know is that it’s going to be a fun, fun day here at Audubon Zoo. We’re going to party, dance and have a great toast with all your little tikes and tots. Come on down to Audubon Zoo and spend the morning with us for an early kickoff to your New Year’s Eve celebration. Now let’s sing the chorus. Cue Music, (here’s the part most people only knows parts of) - For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we'll take a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne. We hope to see you join us in song at Zoo Year’s Eve Saturday, December 31st!
