Seven days a week!
By: L'jeanne, Advertising Manager
This Memorial Day weekend come and visit all Audubon Attractions. We will be open seven days a week throughout the summer. And the kickoff is this Memorial Day weekend. I bet you have friends and family in town, so gather everyone up and come to Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium and Entergy IMAX® Theater! The summer is just getting started and there is no better way to start it off than with Audubon all weekend. At the zoo, bring your bathing suits and come splash around in the cool water at Cool Zoo, a wild and wet splash park. You can also catch a giraffe feeding and watch the elephants play. Over at the aquarium make sure to visit the new exhibit Animal Grossology. It has the coolest, grossest, smelliest animal facts you’ll ever see. This is a popular spot for kids. Another great exhibit at the aquarium is Parakeet Pointe! There are hundreds of free flying birds that are just amazing to see. You never know, one pretty little parakeet may even land on your shoulder for that perfect picture. If you haven’t checked out the new enhanced Butterflies in Flight exhibit, then you must head over to the Butterfly Garden and Insectarium now! It’s a serene garden that houses hundreds of butterflies. The lush greenery transforms the exhibit into a tranquil garden. And everywhere you turn butterflies flutter by. While you’re there, check out the New Orleans gallery and see all the interesting facts about termites and other infamous New Orleans insects. One other visit you must make this weekend is to see the newest movie playing -The Ultimate Wave Tahiti in 3D featuring surfer Kelly Slater! We’ll only have this movie for a limited time so be sure to get over to Entergy IMAX® to see it soon! The film explains how waves are made and why they are important within our ecosystem. The movie is visually captivating everyone will enjoy this film. So now, looks like the only question left to ask is… Which attraction will you visit first!? Wherever you decide to go first make sure you buy your tickets online so there’s no waiting in line!
