Red, White & Butterflies!

It’s going to be all about butterflies this Fourth of July weekend!  Once again Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium is hosting the Red, White and Butterflies event on Saturday, July 7th and Sunday, July 8th.  The newly renovated Butterfly Garden will be brimming with beautiful creatures. The first butterfly release and chat will be at 11 am in the garden and there will be additional chats throughout the day. We’ll also have great activities for the kids. They can make coffee filter crafts and take a bite of some delicious cookies. If you have a butterfly at home bring it with you and over in field camp we’ll let you know what kind of species it is.  Kids love balloons and over the weekend we’ll have specialty butterfly balloons you can take with you. Also take a minute and have a cool caricature of yourself as a butterfly. This is going to be a memorable piece of art! We’ll also have a little magic for your day with our roaming magician. He will surprise and delight all!  But remember not to leave without getting a lovely butterfly face painting. You can get butterfly kisses painted right on your cheek. Won’t that just be the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen?  And guess what! We’ve even got a special admission discount for the Butterfly Garden & Insectarium for the weekend.  You can get $4 off a single adult or child ticket. Make sure to bring your coupon with you.  Join us for a great Fourth of July weekend at the Butterfly Garden & Insectarium; it’s a Red, White and Butterfly celebration!
