Scales & Ales

It’s our 3rd annual Scales & Ales this Friday, September 14th at Audubon Aquarium of the Americas.  If you haven’t gotten your tickets, buy them today! We’re going to have great New Orleans food favorites and specialty cocktails.  There will be local bars and tons of restaurants severing up the newest mixed drink concoctions and prime cuisine. Scales and Ales is the biggest fundraiser hosted by the Aquarium and we always have the best time partying for a good cause.  All proceeds from the event benefit Audubon Aquarium’s education programs and conservation efforts.  To get you in step with a cool beat, we’ve got great live bands all night. Papa Grows Funk will be performing some of their funkiest new tunes! Also on our entertainment lineup is Mingo Fishtrap. They’ve got a gutbucket soul sound described as what once was old is new again. You’ll love the N’awlins sound this group vibes with. Rounding out the entertainment is The Sirens of New Orleans. This female marching krewe will have you dancing along with them all night. Their costuming is fun and flirty. You’ll want to check out all the blue hair! With all the great music and dancing going on you can best believe we’ll have some great food and drink for our party goers.  We’ll have several bars on site featuring special drink mixes and beers with unique samples for you to try. Make your way around the Aquarium to visit tables featuring the Bridge Lounge, Rio Mar and we’ll also have specialty beers from Abita Brewing Co. The restaurants at Scales and Ales will serve up some of the most delicious fare. We’ll have Café Adelaide, Superior Seafood and Oyster bar, The Kupcake Factory and lots more. This will be a great date night: you’ll have good food, good music and good drinks at Scales & Ales!
