Happy New Year to all! It was a great end to 2012! Now we’re moving forward to 2013. It seems the years are going by faster and faster these days.  For me it feels like we were just trick or treating at Boo at the Zoo and now we’re headed into Mardi Gras season!  How is that possible and where did the time go?  I may have been a little preoccupied with caring for my new little bundle of joy, but you’d have to agree with me that time sure does fly by. One thing I know for sure is that this New Year will bring great new things for us here at Audubon Nature Institute. And you’re going to be here to witness it all!  We’ve got new announcements to make new features to share and new events for you to enjoy. I’m going to stay mum on all the new things coming in 2013 for now. But if you wanna be “in the know” stay connected with my blog updates. This way you’ll be one of the first to know all the exciting happenings coming up.  I do have one bit of information I can share with you now. Coming up on Monday January 21stwhich is Martin Luther King Jr. day all our venues will be open!  Yes we’re usually closed on Mondays to give our animals an off day, but since we know kids will be out of school they’ll be looking for something to do.  Well look no further and come here to Audubon Zoo, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium and Entergy IMAX®!  It’s going to be a great day when you visit us. We’ll see you when you get here!
