time running

My days are going by in a flash. Every time I turn around I’m rushing to be here or there or do this or that.  Don’t you feel the same? I’ve got plenty to do, but it seems nothing is happening at all but everything is happening all at once. How can this be!? When do we get a break?  Juggling seven things with 2 hands is a feat. But when you look at those seven things does it involve some good quality fun time with your family? Most often not; Because we’ve got work, school, meetings, daycare, sitters, kids’ birthday parties and goo gobs of other particulars to worry about and not enough free time to kick back and just enjoy a good day.  My particulars have piled up higher than Monkey Hill. Oh I’d love to just kick my shoes off and roll down that Monkey Hill on a bright sunny day at Audubon Zoo.  Can we have a kid day where we all come up with a list of what we’d do if we were kids again?  Hey, maybe we can! Some may have a free weekend day or perhaps in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. birthday this Monday we can all say we’ll take the day to be a like a kid again.  We can be free of deadlines and particulars to worry about and just go with the flow. You do know I know a few places that you can do just that, *wink. The weather has finally begun to clear up and the sun is shining its pretty face again. The Zoo is such a nice place to visit this time of year.  The air is crisp and cool and the animals love having visitors.  You know you can always go indoors too. Visit the butterflies at the Butterfly Garden and stingrays over at the Aquarium. The precious penguins always give me a giggle when they waddle and slide around at the Aquarium.  All I’m saying is just take a day to really enjoy and do something really out of the ordinary. I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. I’m going to climb to the top of Monkey Hill and slide down with arms waving and shouting yippie yay! I know you’re going to join me and we can all say we had a great time making our day an Audubon Day!
