A Mother of the Bride’s Story: New Orleans Wedding Reception at Audubon Tea Room

As submitted by: Cindy, New Orleans (Guest Blogger)
Wedding Reception at the Tea Room

My daughter's wedding reception at the Audubon Tea Room was the magical night she hoped it would be. There are many places in New Orleans to have such an event, but for it to be a success all of the "party elements" must exist. They must be perfect, since after all, we are party central in the Big Easy and we are a critical bunch!

The set up of the room was just right, allowing a good flow of people. Having food and guest tables and a bar outside among those magnificent oak trees was spectacular. All of the food was not only beautifully displayed but quite delicious. Each guest I spoke to commented on how good "something" was and each person's favorite "something" was different. The fried oysters were piping hot—I know because I ate one each time they were passed my way!

The bartenders worked quickly and the wait staff was courteous, professional and very helpful. They all seemed to enjoy what they were doing, from the ladies serving that fabulous shrimp and grits, to the gentlemen clearing the tables.

The night ended too soon and as I reflect back on the months of planning I can honestly say it has been a pleasure working with Audubon. They know exactly what they're doing and they do it very well. It would be easy to feel as though I got special treatment, but I'm quite convinced that's how Audubon treats everyone.
