There are many families in our area that take care of children with special needs and once again Audubon Zoo is happy to host a Special Needs Day for you!  We’re going to have activities in the Capital One field this Saturday, November 9th between 10am and 2pm.  These activities will include close up encounters with hand held animals, exciting entertainment, face- painting and a fair of social service community groups. We’ve also got a great admission ticket for special needs clients who will be able to purchase tickets for $3! Buy your tickets early to take advantage of the discount admission.  The entertainment line up will include a sensory session with Confront and Conquer, a local faith-based support group for parents and caretakers of children with special needs. There will also be performances by Anointed Feats, Petite Praise, Dancers Like David, which is a mime performance, and Greater Mt. Carmel.  We’ll also have an open dance session where everyone can get up and dance! We’d like everyone to come out this Saturday and support this wonderful event.  Audubon Nature Institute recognizes the everyday joys challenges that families face with special needs and we want you to enjoy this truly amazing and enlightening event with your loved ones.  Get your tickets early for the second annual Special Needs Day at Audubon Zoo!
