Looking for a fun summer’s day adventure? Head on over to Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium and you will find just that. So many different galleries are waiting for you come and explore. The Hall of Fame Gallery has the most impressive bugs, and inside the Insects of New Orleans Gallery learn about the critters that call the city home. You may be surprised by the impact they have had! The Underground Gallery is the place to be if you are looking to see the world from a bug’s perspective. Also be sure to visit the Metamorphosis Gallery and witness the life cycle of insects. If you stick around long enough, you can watch a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis. Can you move faster than a beetle or jump higher than a spider? Put your skills to test against the bugs’ at the Success Stories Gallery and see how you measure up in the bug world.
After you visit the bugs that crawl, it is time to see the ones that fly. Think the Aquarium’s Parakeet Point- but with butterflies! The Butterfly Garden is sure to be a beautiful experience. A butterfly may even land on your shoulder! Maybe you are feeling adventurous and want to see what is cooking at the Bug Appetite Café. Our chefs are cooking up exotic dishes that incorporate bugs!
There is so much to do and see at the Butterfly Garden and Insectarium! Whether you bring your family or friends, you will have a blast. Make today an Audubon Day!
