Audubon Park in all its beauty

By: L'jeanne, Marketing Manager

We’ve got a gem right here in the mist of a busy bustling city and it’s called Audubon Park Run, walk, roll or ride on the path and you’ll feel as if you’ve escaped the rush of the world around you. Our park is home to several hundred year old trees and ducks who love to wade in the ponds. I know lots of folks who are big golf fanatics who love to pick up the iron for a swing on Audubon’s golf course. In the golf pro shop you can find great clothing items, golf balls and set up your tee time. On some evenings or weekends you may even see a couple gathered with family and friends as they commit to living their lives together. People often stop and smile while offering congratulations. The park holds so many memories for families around here. Kids have learned how to ride their bikes, skate and jump rope all under the beautiful oak trees. Coming up in September is a new and exciting music concert series that everyone is welcomed to enjoy. By hosting this musical series we hope to bring awareness to the beauty of the park and how our conservancy works diligently to maintain it.  Music under the Oaks presented by Bellwether Technology is a free concert series happening on two Fridays in September and two Fridays in October. Located at Newman Bandstand in Audubon Park you will be able to bring your chairs and blankets and relax and enjoy the music for free!  If you want a bite to eat or drink we will also have some food and drink items for purchase or pack a picnic of your own. Mark your calendars now for the musical evenings under the oaks in Audubon Park.
