Audubon Nature Institute is currently accepting applications for 2016 internship placements.  For session schedules and application deadlines, please see our internship page.

Internships are unpaid and require a minimum of 24 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks.

The internship will provide practical hands on experience for those interested in the zookeeping field. Interns will gain valuable experience while working with keeper staff to learn aspects of zoo animal care such as animal husbandry, exhibit maintenance, enrichment, and public presentations.

Interns are required to work in all types of weather and must be able to bend, lift, and stoop.  Applicants also must have proof of a negative TB test. Start and end dates are flexible.  No housing is provided.
