ZooDoo Gold

Created on Audubon Zoo grounds, ZooDoo Gold compost is made from plant clippings, tree chippings, Live Oak leaves, shredded office paper, shredded cardboard boxes, Starbucks Coffee Grinds (with the appropriate acidic base), Tea Room scraps, and contributions from our Zebra, Ostrich, and Elephants.

  • Heated to 150 degrees, our compost is pathogen-free.
  • Great for top-dressing or for use as a primary planting soil.
  • Each bag contains approximately 4 gallons (30-35 pounds) of soil.
  • Proceeds will go toward planting more trees in Audubon Park.
  • Purchase online and pick up from Audubon Zoo!

"We eliminate landfill debris with ZooDoo Gold," said Audubon Zoo grounds director Dianne Weber. "At the same time, we create a viable green product full of nutrients to gardeners in our area. Everyone wins!"
