Camps and Kid Programs

Holiday and Zoo Summer Camps are great opportunities for your children to have outdoor animal experiences during breaks. Audubon Zoo Summer Camp and Zoo Explorers Camp on-line registration starts March 1, 2014.

A typical day at camp includes:

  • Zoo hikes
  • Informal hands-on science activities
  • Daily animal encounter or animal observations
  • Arts & crafts projects
  • Animal shows
  • Animal feedings
  • Keeper talks
  • Outdoor Nature Play

Along with so many great activities that captivate and teach your children, Audubon Nature Institute also has years of experience in outstanding service making it one of the city's most prized and trusted organizations. For New Orleans summer camps, Audubon Nature Institute has much to offer and is sure to be a great experience for your children!
Audubon Nature Institute strives to accommodate all interested children. Please understand that our camps are very active, with multiple transitions and sensory changes throughout the day. All campers are expected to follow directions and safety rules. If you have specific concerns, please call or email our camp director Charlotte Page at 504-212-5357 or cpage@auduboninstitute.org to discuss your child’s needs. While we are a traditional camp (not specialized for specific special needs), we welcome all children and do our very best to accommodate every child.
