Alligator Adoption
Give your special someone an alligator
from the Louisiana Wetlands!
Adopting an American Alligator from Audubon Zoo is a unique animal adoption that also supports Audubon Nature Institute. All proceeds help Audubon raise awareness about the importance of Louisiana’s wetlands which are home to many native Louisiana animals like the American alligator.
The proud new Alligator parent will receive a colorful adoption certificate, a photo and bio of their Louisiana Wetlands Alligator, and a huggable alligator stuffed animal. Plus, all Alligator parents receive an invitation to a special gathering at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans to meet the ‘gators and the Audubon staff who care for them every day.
Delivery
Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. Express shipping is available via FedEx, delivering your Alligator adoption package within seven business days. Also, online animal adoptions give you the opportunity to send an animal eCard to notify the recipient of your gift. You can send the eCard directly to them or send it to yourself, print it out and hand deliver it! You will be prompted to send an eCard AFTER your transaction has been sent.
Information
Animal adoptions are valid for one year from the date of processing. All adoptables may have many adoptive parents and all adopted animals must remain at their Audubon homes.
