We’re building a wonderful spacious new yard at the Zoo       for our Elephants, Panya and Jean. They’ll be out of public view, with some limited viewing until the Spring of 2015. The elephants will be in the Asian Domain across from the White Tiger daily (except for Wednesday) from 10 am to noon as weather, staff resources and other factors permit.

Our Great Maya Reef is open at the Aquarium!  Begin the underwater adventure through the Great Maya Reef, exploring the ruins of a submerged Maya city of mysterious ruins, surrounded by lion fish, yellowtail snapper, moray eels, spiny lobsters and much more.

Visit the popular Joe W. and Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation Butterflies in Flight exhibit at the Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. See an amazing array of butterflies in a spectacular free-flight exhibit. This serene, Asian-inspired garden flutters with life as butterflies swoop and soar from one flower to another.

All facilities are open at 10 am, Tuesday - Sunday during the Fall and Winter months.  We're open 7 days a week for the spring and summer months    , beginning March 1, 2014 thru September 2, 2014. Closing hours vary seasonally.
