'Ice' Skating Day at Audubon Zoo

'Ice' Skating Day at Audubon Zoo

Ice and snow are rare in New Orleans so we're bringing in a skating rink of synthetic ice made from a high-tech plastic! Composed of engineered polymers that permit a skate blade to glide as smoothly as on real ice, the eco-friendly synthetic ice rink is made from a non-toxic, recyclable acrylic material.

Come ice skating with us on November 23, 2014 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm inside Audubon Zoo by the Capital One Stage. Admission to the rink is included with Zoo admission or Audubon membership. We will supply special skates for use at no additional fee.

To add to the festivities, a DJ will be spinning holiday tunes and from 11:30am to 3:30pm Tinker Fairy and the Queen's Snowman will be available for meet and greets!

Skating will be first come, first skate.

Please note:  All skaters will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to skating.  Guardians must sign for minors (those under 18 years of age on skate date).
