June 3, 2011                                                                                                              New Orleans, LA

Time flies - and crawls and buzzes too!

Audubon Insectarium celebrates its third ANT-iversary June 11 and 12, 2011.

Guests join the festivities with party hats, birthday cake and bug birthday chats all day long.

On Saturday, June 11, Spider Man is in the Insectarium lobby from 10am to 4pm.  On Sunday, June 12, Johnette Downing performs at 2pm, and guests can meet a magician or get their faces painted with a buggy design from 11am to 3pm.

Visitors are invited to find the bugs wearing birthday hats throughout the Insectarium.

Audubon Insectarium opened its doors on June 13, 2008, the first major attraction to open in post-Katrina New Orleans. Since then, it’s been revealing the wonders of the insect world to thousands of guests through engaging exhibitry, awesome critters and imaginative programming.

Birthday activities are included in admission to Audubon Insectarium, which is $15.95 for adults, $10.95 for children ages 2 – 12, and $5 for Audubon Nature Institute members.
