Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans gets BUGGY this Halloween

Ever since a surprise visit by a spider scared Little Miss Muffet right off her tuffet, spiders and insects have been getting a bum rap from mankind --- especially on Halloween.
This Halloween, Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans invites you and your whole family to put on your favorite bug-themed costume and crawl on down to join the Halloween “infestivities”.
‘Not so scary’ bug fun awaits you on Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31 from 10:00am till 5:00pm. Children (ages 12 and under) dressed in a bug-themed costume will receive a $3 discount off of admission. All Halloween activities are included in general admission cost.
Staff entomologists will be on hand to talk about myths and legends behind some of the most “scary” and misunderstood arthropods such as roaches, spiders, and maggots. Enter the “Guess how many roaches are in the roach exhibit” to try and win a fabulous buggy prize.On Saturday, October 30, don’t miss Ralph and Roxanne (two hometown roaches), for storytelling and puppet shows.
Admission to Audubon Insectarium is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, $10 for children and $5 for Audubon Nature Institute members. Children (ages 12 and under) dressed in a bug-themed costume will receive $3 off admission. Audubon Insectarium is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00am till 5:00pm and is located at 423 Canal Street inside the U.S. Custom House.
