Don’t miss out on the holiday fun that awaits you on Saturday, December 12th from 10:00am-5:00pm at Audubon Insectarium, 423 Canal Street in New Orleans. All holiday themed activities are included in general admission.
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a …cricket? Jiminy Cricket, long known for his famous Christmas celebrations, isn’t the only bug that knows how to celebrate the holiday season; the bugs at Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans know how to have a good time too! Don’t take our word for it though, come to the Insectarium, join in on the Jingle Bugs celebration, and see for yourself!
Jingle Bugs offers the perfect way to start off the holiday season right. Guests will have a chance to meet Papa Noel, attend a unique insect-themed reading of The Night Before Christmas, and make one of a kind bug ornaments. Staff entomologists will teach guests how various insects survive the chilly holiday weather. Also, guests will want to stop by Bug Appétit, located in the back of Tiny Termite Café, where they will be able to sample some deliciously hoppy holiday treats such as bug nog, peppermint cricket bark, and fruit fly cake.
Admission to Audubon Insectarium is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, $10 for children and $5 for Audubon Nature Institute members. Audubon Insectarium is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00am till 5:00pm and is located at 423 Canal Street inside the U.S. Custom House.
