Members Go Behind the Scenes at SEAlebration!

SEAlebration, Wednesday, August 1, 2011 5pm – 8pm
(New Orleans, La.)– Audubon Aquarium of the Americas is throwing a party to thank thousands of its closest friends – members!
Audubon Nature Institute members are invited to peek behind the scenes of their favorite aquarium at SEAlebration, a free party for 30,000 Audubon Nature Institute members. The annual event will be held Wednesday, August 1 from 5pm to 8pm at Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, located at 1 Canal Street in New Orleans.
While SEAlebration is a free party for Audubon members, all are invited to become a member and enjoy the festivities. Membership booths will even be open the night of SEAlebration, so guests can sign up right at the entrance and join the party.
SEAlebration visitors will enjoy special opportunities not offered during regular public hours, including extraordinary views from the top of the Caribbean Reef and Gulf of Mexico exhibits and an invitation for an up close meet and greet with some of the Aquarium’s most popular residents. Attendees are also invited to talk with divers, meet the penguin keepers, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at where meals are specially prepared for Audubon Aquarium's animals.
The party will also feature Louisiana music stars including the "rocking, revved up Americana/roots band," Christian Serpas & Ghost Town, Imaginary Frenz, and Guatemalan musical duo, Julio & Cesar. There will also be "make and take" crafts, face painting, airbrush tattoos, a FREE gift shop raffle for 5-foot sting ray plush and extra-large Ty Beanie Boo Penguin, and visits by Audubon Nature Institute outreach vehicles.
Attendants are invited to watch the computer-animated musical comedy, Rio free of charge at Entergy IMAX® Theatreand also enjoy gift shop items and refreshments at a 20% discount.

Tickets to Audubon Aquarium of the Americas are $21.00 for adults, $14.00 for children and $17.00 for seniors. Admission is free for Audubon Nature Institute members.
