(New Orleans, La.)– Strangers are just friends waiting to happen. Join Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and 3,000 of their closest friends on Friday, September 16 for an unforgettable evening to benefit Audubon’s Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program. The party includes New Orleans cuisine from more than 25 local restaurants, live music, and a unique opportunity to watch the stars come out over the Mississippi River. Guests are invited to sample wine and craft beer from more than 20 bars as they enjoy the exceptional sights and sounds of Audubon Aquarium at night.
Partygoers will shake their fins to jazz trumpeter and “Treme” star, Kermit Ruffins along with Big Easy Music Award winner, the Stooges Brass Band. The bash will also include performances by The 610 Stompers, 3 West, and Washboard Chaz.
Scales & Ales is a true craft beer tasting event featuring an incredible variety of beers by local breweries including Abita Brewing Company, Bayou Teche Brewing, Dixie Brewing, Heiner Brau, Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company, NOLA Brewing, and Tin Roof Brewing Company.
The party's extensive selection of craft beers are perfect for pairing with dishes from New Orleans favorite restaurants including Café Du Monde, Huck Finn's Café, Acme Oyster House, Corky's Bar-B-Q, Creole Creamery, Ye Olde Kettle Cooker, Blue Dot Donuts, Fat Hen Grill, Ralph & Kacoo's, and Camellia Grill.
Scales & Ales is an adult-only event on Friday, September 16 from 8pm-11pm with a Patron Party kicking things off at 7pm. Tickets start at just $35. Patron tickets are $75 per person. Sponsor packages start at $500.All food and drinks are included in ticket price.
Scales & Ales supports Audubon’s Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program (LMMSTRP) and our efforts in rescuing, rehabilitating and successfully releasing stranded and injured sea turtles and marine mammals.
