For the first time anywhere in almost a century, Audubon Insectarium in New Orleans has successfully bred extremely rare pink katydids.  Cupid, the oldest of the brood, makes his debut along with a few of his siblings at Audubon Insectarium on Wednesday, February 11th, 2009, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s seems like the appropriate time to bring the whole family of little valentines’ out to share the love and view this wonderful, rare, festively colored katydid.
