Seas the Day Memorial Day Weekend
2010-05-19
It’s been twenty years since Audubon Aquarium of the Americas opened at the foot of Canal Street, breathing new life into downtown New Orleans. Such a momentous milestone warrants a fabulous party, and the Aquarium will be celebrating all summer long! Put on your party fins and flippers and help Audubon Aquarium kick off its 20th birthday celebration in style.
Fish-tivities officially get underway Saturday May 29th and Sunday May 30th with Ocean Fest. Join all the residents of the Aquarium for fun and excitement. Games, arts and crafts and giveaways are all included in the price of admission. Face painters will create fish faces on children of all ages from 12pm-3pm both days. There will even be a special reading of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss since the book is celebrating its 50th birthday, plus so much more.
Then on Monday, May 31st, Audubon Aquarium wants to say thank you to Louisiana residents for their support the past 20 years with a special offer: Two guests can experience both Audubon Aquarium and Entergy IMAX® Theatre for a total of only $20 on Monday, May 31st. That’s a savings of more than 50% over the regular adult ticket price! Offer can be used for adult or child tickets and applies to Louisiana residents only.
