Monday can be the best day of the week this summer at Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and Entergy IMAX® Theatre!
Audubon Aquarium and Entergy IMAX® Theatre in New Orleans open their doors for Special Summer Mondays beginning June 27, 2011, and continuing seven days a week through August 1. The attractions are normally open Tuesday through Sunday.
It’s the perfect time to experience the popular blockbuster new exhibit Parakeet Pointe, where guests interact with more than 800 colorful and personable parakeets.
As always, Aquarium visitors enjoy the wonders of the Caribbean reef by strolling through the beautiful walk-through tunnel. In Adventure Island, visitors touch and feed sting rays. And watching sea otters Buck and Emma splash, jump and dive in their exhibit is quite possibly the coolest way to spend the day in downtown New Orleans.
With an engaging array of nature-themed films, Special Summer Mondays continue at Entergy IMAX® Theatre right next door to the Aquarium. See them all - Under the Sea 3D, Deep Sea 3D and Hurricane on the Bayou 3D. IMAX® immerses viewers in the timeless, breathtaking wonders of nature.
“We’re pleased to offer this seven day a week schedule at Audubon Aquarium and Entergy IMAX ®Theatre,” said managing director Karyn Kearney. “It’s our way of inviting local families and visitors from out of town to include us in their entertainment options all summer long.”
