- Guests will have the opportunity to sign an oversized card with well wishes for Irma that we’ll present on stage at 2:15pm. Look for the tent in the festival area.

Moms of all ages get into the Zoo for free on Mother’s Day Presented by Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen!
“Free admission for all moms on Mother’s Day is an Audubon Zoo tradition going back more than twenty years,” said Audubon Zoo Managing Director Larry Rivarde. “It’s a day full of warmth, as hundreds of families bring Mom to the Zoo for a celebration of togetherness.”
“Audubon Nature Institute and all of its properties are icons in New Orleans and remain long standing fixtures of the community,” said Glenn Jacob, president of the Popeyes New Orleans co-op. “They have worked hard to come back after Katrina, and need the embrace and support of other local organizations like Popeyes—and what better time to show our support than Mother’s Day?”
Shop at the craft tents and pick out something special for your mother. Special treats are available for purchase so Mom doesn’t have to cook on her special day.
Irma Thomas and the Professionals will take the stage in an emotion-filled performance, singing directly to the moms in the audience. Their concert is filled with personal anecdotes, old favorites and hot new hits.

Moms of all ages get into the Zoo for free on Mother’s Day Presented by Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen!
“Free admission for all moms on Mother’s Day is an Audubon Zoo tradition going back more than twenty years,” said Audubon Zoo Managing Director Larry Rivarde. “It’s a day full of warmth, as hundreds of families bring Mom to the Zoo for a celebration of togetherness.”
“Audubon Nature Institute and all of its properties are icons in New Orleans and remain long standing fixtures of the community,” said Glenn Jacob, president of the Popeyes New Orleans co-op. “They have worked hard to come back after Katrina, and need the embrace and support of other local organizations like Popeyes—and what better time to show our support than Mother’s Day?”
Shop at the craft tents and pick out something special for your mother. Special treats are available for purchase so Mom doesn’t have to cook on her special day.
Irma Thomas and the Professionals will take the stage in an emotion-filled performance, singing directly to the moms in the audience. Their concert is filled with personal anecdotes, old favorites and hot new hits.

- On Audubon’s Facebook page, users can leave a message for Irma beginning May 3, 2013. Users are encouraged to post photos, stories, memories, etc. of Irma's performance over the years at Audubon Zoo.
- Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, our Presenting Sponsor, will provide $30 gift cards which guests can register-to-win on May 12, 2013 at the Zoo.
- Guests will have the opportunity to sign an oversized card with well wishes for Irma that we’ll present on stage at 2:15pm. Look for the tent in the festival area.
Grammy Award-winner Irma Thomas headlines a Mother’s Day full of music, food, fun and family at Audubon Zoo. This year, the annual celebration is presented by:
Moms of all ages get into the Zoo for free on Mother’s Day Presented by Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen!
“Free admission for all moms on Mother’s Day is an Audubon Zoo tradition going back more than twenty years,” said Audubon Zoo Managing Director Larry Rivarde. “It’s a day full of warmth, as hundreds of families bring Mom to the Zoo for a celebration of togetherness.”
“Audubon Nature Institute and all of its properties are icons in New Orleans and remain long standing fixtures of the community,” said Glenn Jacob, president of the Popeyes New Orleans co-op. “They have worked hard to come back after Katrina, and need the embrace and support of other local organizations like Popeyes—and what better time to show our support than Mother’s Day?”
Shop at the craft tents and pick out something special for your mother. Special treats are available for purchase so Mom doesn’t have to cook on her special day.
Irma Thomas and the Professionals will take the stage in an emotion-filled performance, singing directly to the moms in the audience. Their concert is filled with personal anecdotes, old favorites and hot new hits.

It's been 30 years of Irma Thomas and The Professionals at Audubon Zoo and we're celebrating in style!
- On Audubon’s Facebook page, users can leave a message for Irma beginning May 3, 2013. Users are encouraged to post photos, stories, memories, etc. of Irma's performance over the years at Audubon Zoo.
- Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, our Presenting Sponsor, will provide $30 gift cards which guests can register-to-win on May 12, 2013 at the Zoo.
- Guests will have the opportunity to sign an oversized card with well wishes for Irma that we’ll present on stage at 2:15pm. Look for the tent in the festival area.
Grammy Award-winner Irma Thomas headlines a Mother’s Day full of music, food, fun and family at Audubon Zoo. This year, the annual celebration is presented by:
Moms of all ages get into the Zoo for free on Mother’s Day Presented by Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen!
“Free admission for all moms on Mother’s Day is an Audubon Zoo tradition going back more than twenty years,” said Audubon Zoo Managing Director Larry Rivarde. “It’s a day full of warmth, as hundreds of families bring Mom to the Zoo for a celebration of togetherness.”
“Audubon Nature Institute and all of its properties are icons in New Orleans and remain long standing fixtures of the community,” said Glenn Jacob, president of the Popeyes New Orleans co-op. “They have worked hard to come back after Katrina, and need the embrace and support of other local organizations like Popeyes—and what better time to show our support than Mother’s Day?”
Shop at the craft tents and pick out something special for your mother. Special treats are available for purchase so Mom doesn’t have to cook on her special day.
Irma Thomas and the Professionals will take the stage in an emotion-filled performance, singing directly to the moms in the audience. Their concert is filled with personal anecdotes, old favorites and hot new hits.
