Family Fun and Activities in New Orleans
Does your child have a sense of curiosity and wonder about the world around them? Audubon Nature Institute is the perfect place for them to explore and engage with nature. With activities ranging from camps to our Cool Zoo, there's plenty for your child to do at Audubon Nature Institute.
Summer & Holiday Camps
Our Summer & Holiday Camps will keep your child active and engaged in learning while they are out of school. We offer many choices, such as Audubon's Zoo Summer Camp, where kids will get hands-on experience learning all there is to know about their favorite animals, and Audubon Zoo Explorer's Camp for those interested in the outdoors and life sciences.
Kid Scout and Educational Programs
Audubon Nature Institute is a fantastic setting for Boy and Girl Scout campouts. Your child will be thrilled to meet his or her merit badge requirements while hiking on our nature trails. We even offer a merit badge of our own for those scouts who stay with us overnight. A minimum of 30 participants is required to book our overnight campsite.
We also provide a number of one-of-a-kind education experiences at Audubon Nature Institute. These include programs such as Zoo School, Aqua School, Home School Programs, Zoo Family Nature Clubs, Basic Zoo Photography, and more.
Are you ready to throw your child a birthday party they will never forget? Plan one at Audubon Nature Institute! We have accommodations for whatever aspect of nature interests your child the most. Our birthday party venues include Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, Audubon Zoo Party Rooms, Cool Zoo, Dominion Learning Center, and the Pisces Room at Audubon Aquarium of the Americas.
We also have a dedicated birthday bash staff and catering team who will make sure your child has the best birthday they could ask for.

New Orleans summers are hot and humid. What better way for you and your child to cool off than to splash around at Audubon Nature Institute's Cool Zoo? As one of the top water parks in New Orleans, we have plenty to make your visit a memorable one.
We have jumping water spouts, a gigantic alligator water slide, two sand beaches, four water cannons, a spider monkey soaker, two water curtains, water-spitting snakes, and more. One of our newest additions to the Cool Zoo is Gator Run. It's a 750-foot lazy river that's three-feet deep and takes about seven minutes to complete.
Make sure your child takes advantage of their free time by having them enjoy all there is to experience at Audubon Nature Institute. With our camps, programs, and activities, there is never a dull moment! Become a member today for exclusive events and program rates.
