Fundraising for LMMSTRP

Audubon Nature Institute is committed to the welfare of aquatic wildlife during the oil spill crisis in the Gulf of Mexico, the people responsible for their safety, and our community's successful recovery.

Tips for hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program:

  • Donations directly fund the Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program (LMMSTRP). Coordinated by Audubon Aquarium of the Americas since 1993, LMMSTRP has been designated as the primary responder for the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of all marine mammals (dolphins, whales and manatees) and sea turtles along the Louisiana coast.
  • Audubon Nature Institute, coordinator of LMMSTRP, is a 501(c)3 organization.  Here is our 501(c)3 determination letter as well as an Audubon Nature Institute Overview and our W-9
  • Proceeds can be sent by check to Audubon Nature Institute/Development Department at 6500 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70118 or donations can be made online. You will receive an acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.

  • Let us know what you’re doing! All fundraising efforts must be approved by Audubon.  Email give@auduboninstitute.org with the details of your fundraiser or call (504) 861-5107.
