The 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill incident dramatically impacted Louisiana's fragile wetlands and its residents. Audubon Nature Institute's animal care experts worked diligently to rehabilitate sea turtles and marine mammals affected by the spill.   Lee Michaels created the sterling silver Louisiana Preservation Bracelet to commemorate Louisiana’s environmental commitment, heritage, and culture. Ten percent of the proceeds from sales of the bracelet are committed to Audubon’s wildlife rehabilitation and protection efforts.
