Bug Ambassador

Bug Ambassadors serve as the link between the insect world and Insectarium visitors. They speak to visitors on behalf of these tiny titans, and help guests foster an appreciation for these incredible animals. Bug Ambassadors can also interpret live animal exhibits, engage visitors in learning, assist staff with live animal presentations and are a welcoming face for guests.

Bug Ambassadors must be 17 years of age or older, complete the training course and commit to one weekly shift for one year. A contribution of $30.00 helps cover costs of training materials and uniforms.

Whooping Cranes

Whooping cranes are the most endangered crane in the world; in the 1930’s these cranes disappeared from the state of Louisiana and by 1941 their number in the wild dwindled to a mere 14 birds. See two of these rare canes on your next visit to Audubon Zoo.
