Southern Otter Research and Conservation
Since 1998, Audubon Aquarium of the Americas has been an active participant in the Southern Otter Research and Conservation (SORAC) consortium. The Aquarium supports this consortium, which is based at the Monterrey Bay Aquarium, by caring for two rescued and non-releasable otters, Buck and Emma, and participating in reproductive studies, behavioral investigations, and physiological studies.
