Soul Fest

Soul Fest

Music, food and fun will be served in great supply during the 12th annual Soul Fest at Audubon Zoo!

The weekend of March 5 & 6, over 20,000 visitors will converge upon the Zoo for one of New Orleans’ biggest celebrations of African American history. The two day family-oriented event will feature live musical performances by local Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, and Gospel artists at our Capital One Performance Pavilion!

Our guests of all ages can also purchase authentic soul food prepared by local restaurants and caterers, and enjoy the Zoo's wonderful collection of exotic animals, including our new Orangutan and Elephant exhibits! Kids can also visit the Children's Global Playground, and create a special Soul Fest souvenir!

Festival-goers can also stop in at the Soul Fest Community Partner tent and receive valuable wellness and lifestyle information.

Soul Fest will also feature its annual African American Firsts.  Stay tuned for more on information about our 2016 honorees!

Soul Fest is always free with Zoo admission. No outside food or beverages are permitted.

Soul Fest is presented by AARP and sponsored in part by The Bardell Company
